At Minnehaha, we celebrate who we are as individuals, as a community, as children of God.
We celebrate through music & worship; through meals & play; through quiet moments & crazy ones.
We know that these celebrations are as much a chance for connection as are seeking and serving together.
We know that these celebrations fill our cups and help us to be the hands of God in the world.
We know that these celebrations are a crucial part of our faith life.
I was about to write that spring is a wonderful time to celebrate. And, it is.
But, there are things to celebrate about every season, aren’t there?
Just as there are struggles and challenges – there are reasons for us to hope.
What do you find hope in? What do your children? Can we let them guide us in our celebrations? In finding true joy in seeing the first flowers of spring, of jumping in mud, in pajama parties, and pillow forts, and time together?
A week from Sunday at Minnehaha – Earth Day, we’ll live into our hope as we plant seeds to nurture for our Minnehaha garden. We’ll celebrate the promise of spring, and our opportunity to care for creation.
We hope you will join us in celebrating – and if you jump in a mud puddle on the way in or spot a blooming flower – please be sure to let us know so we can join in the joy!
